About BOLP
So, what's BOLP?
BOLP (Bunch Of Lost People) -- is a small group of friends based out of New Hampshire who love the sport of Paintball. Even more so, we love enjoying the sport in the classic form of stock class. Our field is not limited to pump only players though. Many of us own some very fast semis.
Wait! So you guys play paintball? Isn't that unsafe?
Paintball has been, and continues to be one of the safest recreational activities in the world and we intend to keep it that way.
We take safety very seriously here at BOLP. There is a safety briefing given to each player at the beginning of the day, regardless of if you have heard it before. We chronograph every gun to 270FPS. Guns are tested periodically throughout the day to make sure that everyone stays withing spec. Our playing fields are netted off with paintball regulation netting to ensure that the paintballs stay inside the field. Staging areas are well protected by the netting to keep players and spectators safe, and each game has at least one trained referee. We always ensure that there is a proper ratio of referees to players. We follow very strict rules regarding goggles and barrel bags. If you are unsure of any of the rules, dont sweat it, someone will go over everything with you on your day of play.
Okay, so what kind of fields do you guys have?
We operate 2 fields -- a full size X-ball field and a Woodsfield that has been cleared of nasty twigs, brushes and poison ivy. The woods field has several natural and man-made bunkers, a small castle, 2 opposing forts and is constantly being worked on to provide an exciting and safe play field. During our events, both fields are always open so as to cater to every player type, skill and taste. We also have a small 3-5 man airball field that can be set up for team practices.
I'm interested now, but I don't have much gear. Guess I can't play after all...
We have plenty of Tippmann 98 Customs, loaders, co2 tanks and masks on hand for rentals. You can also call ahead to reserve gear. As long as you don't abuse the gear, it'll be here year after year. Likewise, a lot of our players always have extra gear and they will be more than happy to lend out a piece of gear here and there if you ask them really nicely.
Our bottom-line is, we want people who attend to be able to play and have fun and enjoy themselves, and we will try and do everything in our power to make that possible.
Allright, well just out of curiosity, how do you run your games? What rules do you go by?
- We play mainly Elimination games(Speedball and Woodsball).
We always like to mix it up with a capture the flag game thrown in the mix as well. If you want to play something other than the game suggested, just ask and we will do our best to set it up.
1. Waivers must be signed each time you come to the field. If you are under 18 you will need to have a parent sign your waiver before the day begins. You can print out waivers ahead of time Here to make check-in a little faster.
2. Goggles must be on in all marked areas. All players are required to have their goggles on while on the field for any reason.
3. Barrel bags must be in place in staging area and all other non-game areas. The barrel bag must be on until you enter the netting and the referee instructs you to take it off. Replace the barrel bag on your way out of the field.
4. All guns are chronographed to 270FPS or lower - No exceptions. If your gun wont turn down, we have rentals available, but you will not be using your gun until it is fixed.
5. No firing guns in the staging area, parking lot, or any other "safe" area (even just air).
6. No ramping, rebound, bouncing, etc. One shot per trigger pull.
7. No physical contact, profanity, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
8. No blind firing. You must be able to see what you are shooting at, aim and then pull the trigger. No holding your gun above the bunker and shooting while your head is buried like an ostrich.
9. Referee calls are final - if you have a problem, talk to the ref after the game.
10. No alcohol or illegal drugs. If you are caught you will be ejected from the facility.
- When you are hit, please be honest. If you are not sure if the ball broke or bounced, call for a paint check and a ref will be there ASAP or ask one of your fellow players to check you. NO WIPING WILL BE TOLERATED WHATSOEVER! WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON ANYONE WHO WIPES! Gun hits count unless it has been agreed otherwise prior to the start of a game. When hit put gun and hands above your head and yell hit. You can call your self out at anytime you need to or feel unsafe.
- Overshooting is discouraged. If you see someone has been hit, stop shooting.
- If you yell HIT or even say hit. You will be asked to be out -- (Ref's call). "HIT" is a word that means you are out. So don't yell "I hit you" . instead yell "check yourself" or tell ref to "check them".
- You can play with as much paint as you would like to carry (or can afford).
- Bunkering is allowed. Please be considerate to the newer players and try to surrender them -- much easier in woodsball then speedball, but you know what we mean.
When being surrendered you don't have to surrender but remember they will most likely shoot you if you turn around. We suggest when someone has a gun to your back just to put up your hands and yell hit!
- We are all friends here. If you get overshot we are sorry, but sometimes it is unavoidable and part of the game.
- Paintball is a sport of honor, play it with honor. Play hard, play fair and above all else -- HAVE FUN!
